Deveau Scores Five Times in Loss to Rams

FRAMINGHAM, Mass -- The Buccaneers played their penultimate game of the season on Tuesday night in Framingham against the Rams. The Buccaneers kept the game close in the first half, trailing 6-4. Framingham pulled away in the second half with 13 goals to win, 19-8.

Inside The Numbers

Maritime

  • Karah Deveau scored five times, leading the Bucs in scoring. Maggie O'Malley netted two goals, and Sabrina Andrews scored once in the loss.
  • Andrews, Erin Cardinal, and Deveau all had one assist.
  • Rech led the Bucs in ground balls with two.
  • On the draw, Deveau led Maritime with six draw controls.

  • Alessia Lye recorded seven assists in the win. Lewis helped on four goals, and Kendzulak and Gabrielle Foster both had one assist.
  • Lily Malloy and Lye led the way with five ground balls.
  • Pizzardi led her team in draw controls with five.
  • Defensively, four players had two caused turnovers for the Rams.
  • In total, Framingham picked up 34 ground balls, was successful on 13 of 16 clearances, won 19 draw controls, and took 45 total shots.

 

How It Happened

Deveau scored first in the game to put the Buccaneers up 1-0 just over a minute in. At 10:03, Framingham tied the game on a Bosma goal. At 6:41 and 6:02, the Rams scored back-to-back goals from James to take their first lead of the game, 3-1. At 3:40 of the first, Andrews scored to make it a one-goal game, 3-2. Deveau added her second goal at 2:04 to tie the game at 3-3. With 1:49 left in the first, Pizzardi scored to give the Rams a 4-3 lead heading to the second quarter.

In the second, Framingham scored at 13:53 to extend their lead to two goals, 5-3. For the next 13 minutes, neither team was able to score, until the Bucs cut the Rams' lead back to one goal, 5-4, with Deveau's third goal at 50 seconds remaining. Of the ensuing draw, Framingham scored one more goal in the half to make the score 6-4 at halftime. 

In the third, Maritime opened the scoring with another Deveau goal, making the score 6-5 Rams. From 11:46 to 9:02 of the third, Framingham scored three goals in a row to extend their lead to four goals, 9-5. O'Malley sprinkled in a goal for the Bucs, then Framingham went on another three-goal run to end the quarter. The Rams led after three, 12-6.

Framingham extended their scoring streak from the third to begin the fourth with six more goals, five of which came in the first five minutes of the quarter. With 5:42 left in the game, Framingham led 18-6. Deveau and O'Malley went back-to-back at 3:38 and 1:35 to get the Bucs to eight goals. Bosma scored one more for the hosts with 10 seconds remaining, and Framingham earned the MASCAC victory, 19-8, over the Bucs.

The Bucs will play their final game of the 2026 season on Saturday, April 25th, at 6 pm against Anna Maria in conference play.
