Buc Ball Drops Series Opener to Rams on the Road
FRAMINGHAM, Mass -- The Buccaneers and Rams opened their three-game conference series on Friday afternoon in Framingham. The Bucs held an early lead in the game but couldn't hold on, ultimately dropping the series opener, 6-4.

How It Happened
Houston put the Bucs up 1-0 in the top of the second with a solo home run over the left field fence.
In the top of the fourth, Cole extended the Buccaneers lead to three runs with a two-run home run, scoring himself and White. Maritime led 3-0 after four.
Estrada added another run for Maritime in the top of the fifth with a double to left field, scoring Pietrafesa, and the Bucs led 4-0.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Rams charged back into the game, first with a Cox two-run home run to center field, cutting the lead in half, 4-2. Then, Frellick singled in Burbank to make it a one-run game, 4-3. Later in the inning, Robichaud hit a two-run home run to give Framingham the lead, 6-4.
DeCarney and Respress shut down the Maritime bats the rest of the way, and the Rams won game one of the MASCAC series, 6-4.
