Quindley Named Buccaneers Women's Soccer Head Coach
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Massachusetts Maritime Academy Director of Athletics Mike Kelley has announced that former Buccaneer, Julia Quindley, will be the next head coach of Buccaneer Women's Soccer.
A native of Plymouth, MA, Quindley played four seasons for the Buccaneers from 2020 to 2023. In her career, Julia scored three goals and had two assists from her spot on the defensive line. Following her senior season, she was awarded the Alaine Wallace Alumni Award for her dedication to Buccaneer Athletics.
Following her graduation from the Academy, Quindley joined the Buccaneers women's soccer coaching staff under head coach Lauren Murphy ahead of the 2023 season. When Coach Murphy stepped down following the 2024 season, it was determined that Quindley would be a fitting replacement at the helm of the program.
"We are excited to have Julia as our next women's soccer head coach at Massachusetts Maritime." Said AD Kelley. "Coach Quindley will undoubtedly continue moving our program forward in the coming years."
Coach Quindley is the sixth head coach in program history, dating back to 2008.
"I am thrilled to be selected as the next head coach of the Buccaneers women's soccer team." Said Coach Quindley. "Having been a part of this for the last six years, as a player and a coach, I am optimistic about what the future holds. Our players and coaching staff are ready to take Bucs soccer to the next level."
