How It Happened

With seven shots between the teams in the first half, it looked as though the teams would go to the half tied at zero. Instead, in the 43rd minute, Deschamps headed a ball in the box off of a free kick. The ball landed inside the six yard box where Deveau was waiting to slot the ball into the net to give the Bucs a 1-0 lead. A minute later, the Falcons were awarded a penalty kick after a foul in the box off of a corner kick. Dorn got the ball past Kerecz to tie the game at 1-1 just before the break.

In the second half, the Buccaneers outshot the Falcons 14-3 but could not find the net despite having multiple multi-shot chances. The Falcons were unable to capitalize on their three shots and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
