Sullivan and Mucha Score Three Times in Conference Loss to Wolves
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers hosted West Conn on Saturday in rainy Buzzards Bay for an LEC conference matchup. The league leading Wolves took it to the Bucs heading back to Danbury with a 16-10 victory.

How It Happened
Starrett opened the scoring for WestConn just over a minute into the game to give the Wolves a 1-0 lead. Cabot matched that with the Bucs first goal at 12:06 to tie the game, 1-1. The teams traded goals the entire first quarter, with the Wolves scoring five to the Bucs four and led 5-4 at the end of the first 15 minutes of play.
Sullivan scored first in the second for Maritime to tie the game at 5-5. Starrett and Mucha scored for their respective teams at 9:41 and 8:48 to bring the game to 6-6 midway through the second. 17 seconds after Mucha's goal, the Wolved started a three-goal run over a minute and 54 seconds of game time. With 6:37 left in the first half, WestConn took a three-goal, 9-6 lead. Sullivan scored again for the Bucs at 4:13, and Rosa scored for the Wolves. At the half, WestConn led the Bucs 10-7.
In the third quarter, each team scored two goals. Hawthorne scored the first of the second half for the Wolves at 10:33. Maritime then scored back-to-back at 7:31 and 4:59 to cut the deficit to two goals, 11-9. Less than a minute after the Buccaneers second goal of the back-to-back, Sweeney scored for WestConn, and the Wolves went up three goals, 12-9, at the end of the third.
In the fourth, the Wolves went on a three-goal run, extending the unanswered streak to four goals going back to the third quarter. With 6:23 left in the game, WestConn led by six goals, 15-9. Kane scored for the Buccaneers to get the team to double-digit goals, and Ford added one more for the visitors at 2:28 to seal the 16-10 win for WestConn to remain undefeated in conference play.
