Track and Field Finished Fifth and Sixth at MASCAC Championship Meet
FITCHBURG, Mass -- The Buccaneers men's and women's track & field teams competed at the MASCAC Championship meet, hosted by Fitchburg State, on Saturday.
Freshman Will Dalton was the winner of the men's 400-meter dash, and Joey Tully picked up the victory in the men's high jump.
In the javelin, Jackson Faith finished third overall with a mark of 52.10 meters.
Joseph Hyman came in fifth in the shot put with a best throw of 13.07 meters.
In the men's long jump, Jorden Woods picked up a fifth-place finish with a mark of 6.43 meters.
As a team, the Buccaneers earned 35 points for a fifth-place finish in the meet.
On the women's side, Lorelei Lee finished fifth in the 3k steeplechase with a time of 13:12.95.
Makynzi Sprague finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 9.94 meters. In the discus, she finished in ninth place with a mark of 23.16 meters.
Danielle Danna came in 10th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:36.18.
