Track and Field Participates in Silfen Invitational

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- In their second meet of the weekend, the Buccaneers traveled to Conn College for the Silfen Invitational. 

For the men, Joey Tully won the high jump again, this time with a best mark of 1.98 meters, tying his own school record.

Jack Laliberte finished second in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:35.49. Not far behind in fourth place, Robert Kenny came across at 11:51.83. 

The Bucs 4x100-meter relay team finished fifth overall with a time of 44.24 seconds. 

In the shot put, Joseph Hyman was the 10th-place finisher with a best mark of 12.35 meters.

On the women's side of the meet, Chloe Handlin picked up a third-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 14:49.64. 

Makynzi Sprague was 13th in the shot put with a best mark of 9.44 meters.

The Bucs travel to Eastern Connecticut next weekend for the Bonnie Edmundson Invitational.
