Holler Drives in four Runs in Bucs Seep at the Hands of Owls
WESTFIELD, Mass -- The Buccaneers faced a tough test on Patriots Day as they took on the #25 team in the nation, Westfield State, in conference play. The Buccaneers struggled in game one, losing 11-3, and in game two, they lost by a similar score, 10-3.

How It Happened
The Owls put a run on the board in the bottom of the first inning on a LaTour sacrifice fly. They led 1-0 through two innings.
In the top of the third, the Buccaneers answered with two runs to take a 2-1 lead. Hiddemen drove in the first run on a single to left field, scoring Kerecz. Then, Holler grounded out, allowing Booker to score from third. In the bottom of the inning, Westfield exploded for five runs, taking a 6-2 lead.
In the fourth, the Owls added a run on Alfonso's triple. The host led 7-2 after four.
Holler hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth to bring Burton in to score and cut the deficit to four runs, 7-3. But, in the bottom of the frame, Westfield scored four runs to end the game by run rule, 11-3.

How It Happened
Westfield put four runs on the board in the first inning, three on LaTour's home run and another on a Salvatore single. They led 4-0 after one inning.
In the bottom of the second, the Owls added two runs, one on a Slack RBI single, and the second on the same play due to a Buccaneer error. Westfield led 6-0 after two.
In the top of the fourth, the Bucs struck for two runs on a Holler two-RBI single to center field to make the score 6-2. Westfield answered with one run in the bottom of the inning to run the score to 7-2.
In the top of the sixth, Patane hit a solo home run, making the score 7-3. Westfield scored three runs in the bottom of the inning to make the score the eventual final, 10-3.
