WESTFIELD, Mass -- The Buccaneers women's cross country team took part in the James Earley Invitational on Saturday at Westfield State. In a field of 16 teams, the Buccaneers finished 15th overall.

Maritime picked up 454 points in the race, beating out Hudson Valley Community College by 23 points for 15th. They were 14 points short of Fitchburg State in 14th place.

Lorelei Lee finished 116th, tops for the Buccaneers, with a time of 23:48.13. Grace Condinho was right behind Lee in 117th with a time of 23:49.52.

Rounding out the top five for the Bucs were Cadence Wasoka, Lillian Luechever, and Sylvia Mattraw-Johnston.

The Buccaneers are back at it next week at Western New England in Springfield.
