CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Earlier today the New England Football Writers released their 2019 All-New England team which consists of 29 division II and division III players from around the region. Among those players are Buccaneer senior defensive lineman Kyle Johnston (Raynham, Mass).
Last week, Kyle was named to the MASCAC All-Conference 1st team for his dominant season at defensive end for the Buccaneers. Johnston recorded a career-high 12.5 sacks this season, tops in the conference and fifth in the nation. Kyle also recorded a career-high 19.5 tackles for loss, second in the MASCAC, while forcing three fumbles which all attributed to him earning this selection from the New England Football Writers. This is Kyle's first All-New England Selection.
Kyle and the other 28 men selected will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 12, at Rosaria Restaurant and Function Facility in Saugus, Mass. Tickets are $60/person and are available only by credit card at https://newenglandfootballwriters.com/captains‐%26‐awards‐banquet.
