Deveau and Santoro Score in Bucs Conference Win Over Falcons

FITCHBURG, Mass -- Bucs women's soccer traveled to Fitchburg State on Saturday to take on the Falcons in conference play. Thanks to a late goal by the Buccaneers, they took all three points with a 2-1 victory over the Falcons.

Maritime

How It Happened

The Buccaneer controlled much of the first half and took advantage of that momentum in the 26th minute. Deveau scored her fourth of the season to give Maritime a 1-0 lead in the conference matchup. Maritime took that lead to the half time break.

In the second half, the Falcons tied the game in the 72nd minute on Chrisostomides' first goal of the season. Less than a minute later, Santoro scored her third of the season to give the Buccaneers the lead back in the 73th minute. That 2-1 score carried until the final whistle. Maritime picked up the three points and their first conference victory of the season.
