BOSTON, Mass. --  Junior Chris Beaulieu’s (Carver, Mass.) goal with 1:02 remaining lifted Massachusetts Maritime to a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Wentworth in a non-league college men’s soccer match played Wednesday evening at Sweeney Field.

Beaulieu converted a feed from freshman Adam Crawford (Kingston, Mass.) in front of the net on the deciding tally for the visiting Buccaneers (2-0), who trailed by a 1-0 margin at the break after sophomore Noah Martins (Dartmouth, Mass.) had staked the host Leopards (2-2) to the early advantage on a pass from freshman Joe Limoli (Peabody, Mass.) in the 20th minute.  Senior Scott Matoian (Mashpee, Mass.) evened matters for Massachusetts Maritime with his first tally of the season on a feed from freshman Justin Le (Springfield, Mass.) in the 62nd minute to set up Beaulieu’s heroics, as that golden goal gave the visitors their first 2-0 start in three years.

Junior Mike Pruchnik (Rochester, Mass.) picked up his second career triumph with three second half saves in goal for the Buccaneers, who also received three first half stops from sophomore Connor Murphy (Mashpee, Mass.).  Sophomore Matthew Sekerak (Winthrop, Maine) made nine saves in the setback for Wentworth, as Massachusetts Maritime outshot the Leopards by a 15-13 margin overall (11-7 on goal) while holding a 4-3 edge in corner kicks for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime travels to Worcester, Mass. on Saturday morning to take on WPI in a non-league match beginning at 11:00 a.m., while Wentworth heads to Milton, Mass. on Saturday morning for its Commonwealth Coast Conference opener with Curry that also begins at 11:00 a.m.
